The Steiner CQT Close Quarters Thermal Sight offers operators the best of two worlds—a reflex optic with a customizable overlay of thermal imagery. It gives you the technology to find targets obscured by darkness or heavy cover while looking through a glass optic using Clear View Thermal technology, rather than looking at a screen. It’s built for military use in close-quarters engagements, but is also well suited to night hunting for predators. See hogs and coyotes in full dark conditions. Thermal to identify; red dot to target. The rugged anodized housing can withstand any kind of hunt in all weather conditions.

The CQT is a capable daytime reflex sight with a 2.5-MOA red dot, but when eyesight alone isn’t enough, the 320 x 240 thermal sensor shows heat-generated imagery in one of three modes—outline, patrol, and full— and you can select from five digital reticles. The sensor features a smooth 60 Hz refresh rate and up to 4x digital zoom, and the overlay image is an 800 x 600 OLED high-brightness green. Designed for use in tough conditions, the CQT’s aluminum housing is submersible to 66 ft. for up to two hours and shock resistant. You’ll get eight hours of runtime for the thermal imager and 1000 hours for the red dot from a pair of CR123A batteries. Should your missions require a closer look at more distant targets, the CQT is compatible with flip-up magnifiers.

The CQT has an objective lens of 18mm focal length which is a fixed 1x Optical magnification, but also provides a Digital 1x, 2x, 3x and 4x magnification.

Features:

  • Reflex Sight with Thermal Overlay
  • Three Thermal Image Modes: Full Thermal, Patrol and Outline modes
  • Choice of Five Digital Reticles
  • Compatible with flip-up magnifiers
  • Combined red dot sight with day and thermal imaging
  • Precision targeting with 2.5 MOA red dot reticle
  • More than a red dot: selectable reticles for user preference
  • Use day and night: outline mode is ideal for daytime, full thermal for total darkness

Take advantage of the EOTech HWS’ ability to incorporate fixed and flip-up magnifiers.

  • Vastly improved accuracy at medium range distances
  • Increased target recognition and identification at greater distances
  • Achieves extremely rapid transition from Close Quarters Battle to medium range targeting – and back again
  • Retro-fits to all current HWS models – providing an instant upgrade path
  • The unique Holographic technology allows the center dot to remain 1 MOA in size, while the angular size of the target is magnified
  • Zero is maintained in the HWS and not in the magnifier – you never lose zero, no matter if you are targeting through the magnifier or only through the HWS
  • The magnifier mount provides elevation and azimuth adjustment to allow the reticle to be centered in the FOV of the magnifier

For the infantryman, target ranges vary in ever-changing battlefield conditions. The HHS provides a solution for engaging threats in CQB situations, then quickly transitioning to a 500m targeting or surveillance situation, and then quickly back to a 25m room clearing exercise. Instant transition is achieved through a quick Switch-to Side (STS) mount that offers a simple, quick disconnect feature to remove the magnifier and base. This durable, night vision compatible system offers wide field optical performance with superior light transmission for visibility in extreme low light conditions.

The EXPS3-4 is configured with a new ballistic matching reticle image for the M4 carbine. The battle tested circle/dot reticle will be offered along with a series of 1 MOA aiming dots that are vertically aligned and calibrated specifically for the ballistic drop of .223 caliber ammunition. The reticle provides 4 aiming dots for target distances of 0-300m, 400m, 500m, and 600m. The use of a magnifier is strongly recommended.

  • Aiming dots may not be distinguishable from each other without magnification.
  • Single transverse 123 battery to reduce sight length
  • Ballistic reticle specific to .223 caliber munitions
  • Compatible with Gen I-III+ Night Vision Systems (tandem operation)
  • Shortened base only requires at most 2 3/4 inch of rail space
  • Battery cap and latch are eliminated and replaced with a simple O-ring, tethered cap; better sealing is achieved
  • Average battery life at brightness level 12 is roughly 600 hours
  • Side buttons, NV compatible with an adjustable, locking, quick detach lever for easy attachment and removal
